Hey i was just wondering about what were your guys thought on these quads. I will be getting it to do drag racing with TEAM FUBAR in pa this season. I have gotten rid of my blaster, but ill still be on here.
The 85-86 LT's were a little lighter, the 87+ had the powervalve and more suspension travel. The 87 model engine had a large 5 bolt reed cage as well.
For normal riding, the 87+ would out perform the 85-86 models because of the suspension and smooth power delivery. For drag racing, suspension doesn't matter so much..... and the 85-86 LT's can be made to put out decent power. They're really hurt by the lack of available pipes (to fit the factory frame) but if you're drag racing, you'll probably go OOF or custom made anyway so it won't matter...
Good luck in your ventures, post pics of the build and trophies!
