when i open my blaster all the way up and the bands kick in sixth gear and im almost topping out in starts to bog:o like its not getting enough air or something or its almost outta gas. same thing happens when i do a wheelie and shift into second it bogs and the wheelie goes down. im thinking it has something to do with the carboratour. it like jumps when its in almost topping out and boggs. any help please

Unless your underwater like your avatar pic. That may have something to do with it. Does sound like a carb issue.

mine does the opposite. i have almost no power until i hit 3rd gear. then it takes off. but i have cleaned everything and replaced everything with silicone on all my gaskets. but as for when you wheelie... it sounds to me like your bowl is filling up with too much gas and killing it. does it do it when you go up a hill?

All you can do is start with one thing and from their. Start to fatten main jet, maybe have to go leaner. I see you have a 240 kit but no porting. On my 240 with no porting it would fall on its face at top rpm. Their are a bunch of restrictions in a non ported motor. Try looking at Ken OConnor Racing video on porting, easy stuff that works. Check that fuel issue with motor and the look at his video, I did it.

i was very suspicous that mine wasnt a 240. i asked the guy i bought it off from today and he said it wasnt a 240 :(he just had the head shaved 8000s

no it doesent happen wen i go up a hill but it does do the bogging thing in sixth gear though. ill be topping out and it will like jump. it reminds me of a rev limiter

i'd check the reeds, when i left the reed stops off one time it would die at high rpm's, i think its refered to high speed flutter,
check the reeds for chips and cracks, but i'd also check the floats, 20 - 21.5 mm to top of float from where the gasket sits, and give that carb a good cleaning while your in there, give her a new plug and do a plug chop, check your grounds and all electrical connections
you can search the "diy" sections for all these subjects for detailed instructions
