50hp

let me get a comment in before dualie and 2smoker get on and blow this up with "Kevin is the worst builder in the history of the atv"... Now it may be that he did horribly on one guys blaster, I have seen first hand 3 banshees that will blow most bikes off the road with his work in and out. No one is perfect and if you disagree GTFO... No one said he was the master of blasters. Ken still holds that title. That is all.

And by no means do i mean any disrespect to duallie or 2smoker, i just disagree with the label of worst builder ever. Kennedy is still alive guys, lets not make him look any better by taking his title away.

hey now, i just called him a bad builder and i wouldnt send him sh*t of mine and dont condone anyone else doing so either, but to each is own, the only blaster motor i believe will make 50hp is the drag port 240 on alky or the +4 longrod but the only way to know is a dyno and i wont put my bike on a dyno.

also on the hjr note, its not just me and dually, there is a few and talk to jay he rode a banshee ported hjr motor and was very unpleased....im over hjr if anyone wants to send them their motors, go right ahead, im happy with KOR and i believe i will stick with him. i have had many different ported motors stock and 240, hollywood, wildcard, kennedy(got rid of that one quick, didnt know it was done by kennedy) and ken is by far the best customer service i have recieved yet, he still takes my calls and answers any question i may have pertaining to anything, even thinking of doing some more work with my 600rr. im not saying there isnt any other builder out there that wouldnt do the same but when i find something that works, i usually stick to it. if it isnt broke dont fix it, make it faster!

Ok so i was mainly quoting duallie up there lol. Now i will not send my blaster motor to kevin because he is a banshee guy and that is it in my opinion. He is no where near the best builder in the world, but IMO is not anywhere as low as kennedy. Ken is also in my #1 spot becasue of his customer support. Hell he hasn't even seen a penny of mine yet, but has helped me countless times. Not trying to take away from his true skills though. He can build one hell of a mean motor. I only support the builders I support from first hand experience or by the experiences of my well renowned blaster bros here on the best forum on the net. I have seen and ridden 3 banshees ported by Kevin, and they all just about messed my pants.

I dont beleive the 50hp myth stated above unless they are running a 240 kit ported to the high heavens, +4 crank, and running an enormous alky carb. But 50 hp is possible however, almost unusable.

i bet kens +4 longrod is around 50 hp on pump gas. but u will never know unless u dyno it and even then it can be misleading. yeah i have heard of a few bansees he has done also but i have heard of some bad ones too. no one is perfect but the guy was a straight dickhead also, which customer service is a big factor when chooising a machinist to do top notch work on ur motor.

This is a contributing factor as I see it. I have never talked to the guy but I can tell you customer service goes a long way and I would have some hard feelings towards the guy if i was treated badly.

And all this dyno smyno business makes me laugh. I know that you see through the dyno bs, but most people live by the dyno. I live by the trails. If she canshit and get on the trails then she is good enough for me.

The same with me zwiser. After reading the whole thread on dirtparidise, i beleive that the discussed engine work was not kevins. Nobody knows for sure becasue the previous, previous owner said kevin did the work. IMHO, that intake looked nothing like Kevins work at all. From my knowledge and my own eyes, he has a very steady hand.

oh yeah the problem with dynos they can be manipulated by the tester. to me honesty is best policy and the only thing ill put on the dyno is my race bike because i have a buddy who tunes before i race and hes been doing a stand up job and i can trust what he does, he takes the bike through every 1k rpms, i have a pc3 and an irc module on my bike. i tell u what man after he tuned it. it was amazing. and i can tell u without a dyno it couldnt have been done to the point he did

yes, dynos do have their place. The only things that should be dynoed are fuel injected or pcm type controlled engines or both. These benefit from the dyno when tuning because they truly help you acheive top notch performance.
