Over the winter i would like to do a brake conversion on my 04 race blaster. i want to put brakes off an ltr or a 450r or yfz 450 callipers on, do i only need the callipers or do i need the hud and spindles as well i have laeger a arms

Thanls guys

oh and while im think of it (going off topic) do the yfz450 calipers go on a banshee just as ezy and will yfz450 front shocks bolt straight on to a banshee wit stock a arms

nice 1 rep 4 u :L

aznd just as i think of it will it mount up as ezy to put yfz450 calipers on the rear

the yfz rear caliper will not fit without building a bracket. i run 06 yfz brakes front and rear on mine. i have the rear caliper on now with a mount sort of like awks. the bracket is easy to make tho and its a dual caliper.

the front calipers if you run the guard you will have to do a little trimming to get the fronts to work, they are bigger than the blaster/banshee calipers. all very easy to do.

im thinking they changed the rear brakes in 06?? pre 06 are a single piston caliper

i bet the shocks will bolt up but are gonna be the same as the blaster and put the balljoint in a bind

thanks man do i need the yfz450 master cylender or does it make any difference

i have not personally used it, but i know some others that have and they reported that the brake feel is much better and it is easier to lock up the front since the mastercylinder displaces more fluid

the yfz 450 will not bolt right on. you need to cut some of the upper and lower mounts on the banshee to make them fit.

BUT, the yfz 450 shocks will put sh*t loads of stress on the ball joints, so some people run the yfz spindles but theres still alot of added stress on the ball joints.

In all your better off getting a pair of used works shocks and getting the set up for your wieght.
