250r shock FTW!!!! never tried the 400 shock but i cant see it any better the the 250r shock, its awsome, plus its easy to mount up, just a bit of grinding, maybe 20 seconds and BAM bolts right up. make sure it an 86+ model though.

I run a EX 400 rear on my Blaster.My blaster had a 250R shock on it when I bought it but I swapped it out for the EX 400. I like the EX 400 much better.More adjustment,Better ride,and increased ride height.Banshee front shocks work great with the EX 400.I have less than $100 into both my front Banshee Shocks($50 on ebay) and EX 400 rear shock($40 onn ebay.

I would assume the 400ex shock is better than the 250r. The 400 ex is at least 10 years newer and they ride pretty good, they're just slow.
