There a 1994 blaster on craigslist for 400$, the guy says the kick start wont budge, which means a bottom end rebuild most likely....... it has clean plastics, a aftermarket front and back bumper, and i nice gold series exhaust, good front tires which i need on my blaster...... i want to use it for a parts quad cause i just got mine full bottom end rebuild and i was woundering if that would be worth it? Or not? Or should i try to rebuild it? Thanks guys!I:I

if i were you id rebuild it. swap parts and make a real good quad and have the one just for a beater quad.

Yeah, because i have my 1991 and i just did alot to it, i painted the frame, banshee axle, 400ex rear shock and banshee fronts, full bottom end and and banshee front brakes, but it has a really old dg exhaust, and beat up plastics and seat, and bald front tires. This one has all i need, and then i would have spare back tires, frame, and all that other good stuff. But i think 400$ is jsut a bit to much for all that, so im going to try and talk him down.

Plus my 1991 has vforce reeds and cage, and a keihin carb with the jets 3 sizes up.

says hes firm on price, maybe you can do a partial trade with him? you deffinetly want to get the pipe off it atleast.

Yeah, im going to offer him a couple things i got that are worth something, cause i dont know if i want to go full 400$ on it, because its sezied or something, but idk what i want to do with it.

Well before you you write off the bottom end as being trashed you need to put it in a high gear and try to push it. There could be something wrong with the kick starting gear. Happens all the time.

BUT if you do the "push" test when you look at it he may suddenly change his mind, just a thought.
Maybe do it when he's not looking I:I

Not a bad price, just not "smoking deal"

I never can find good deals, but the blaster the blaster i have now for 250$ dollars, and it has keihin carb, full dg exhaust, weisco piston, and fly bars. All it needed was a stud in the head.:D

Depending on your time and available cash flow, if the guy still has the blaster I'd offer him $300 and then $350 if the rest of the quad is in good shape. I am always checking craigslist here for blasters. Found one the other night for $250, but I was on my way home from buying an 04. I have one that I bought 2 years ago for $375, but it was running when I got it though. In my opinion which is worth almost nothing anything less than $500 is worth a look and consideration.

400 is to high imo. I payed 450 for a blaster with a/m a arms, ext swinger, durablue axle, Maier plastics an works shocks with brand new tires on dwt wheels all the way around! :o it had a bad crank wouldn't kick so i got him down on it. Then i traded it as a roller w jus the Maier hood for a 12 gauge shotgun. So try to get him down. There not worth much when there not running. Maybe you could get it an sell the cylinder and get a lil return.

An sell one of your pipes. I sold my fmf for 50 bucks it was spray painted black/mxture of rust. an silencer was busted. Yours is in better condition obviously so you could sell it for more. Good luck
