400 rear shock too hard?

Has anybody checked the compression on it and could you safely remove some of the nitrogen to make it a little softer.Thanks

have you tried to loosen up the spring to make it softer

you can loosen the spring, and turn the compression down. I wouldnt run less than 100 psi of nitrogen in it, it should ahve about 200 psi from the factory. if you take it down to 50 psi and ride it breifly it will tell you if its the spring or the valving. riding continually on low psi can allow the seal head to move, not good.

yea i have loosen the spring, and turn the compression down.Im about 195 and i still think it kind off hard.So let say it has 200 psi in it would 150 psi be safe?Thanks

you should be safe down to 100, but it really helps to have a special tool to meter the nitrogen, it's a small amount under high pressure and it doesnt take very much to make a big change

Thats odd i thought mine was too soft. I turned the gas mostly down and tightened the preload. I only weigh 170. I would just tap the valve drain little by little.
