ive got a 2002 blaster that i put a 4mm crank in,1 size over piston and roysen reed valves and burnt a whole thru piston. i was told it now needs to be timed cuz of the new crank. is this true and what degree timing do i place it?B)

more than likely an airleak caused the burnt hole, did you do a leakdown test before firing the motor, ignition timing has nothing to do with the crank ???

ya, but you need to change the port timing to get better performance.
but either air leak or your jetting is way off.

not without trenching the cases, , < if not done, could have worn or busted a hole thru the cases and sucked air, causing the meltdown ??????

what base gasket did you use ?????
hopefully not a green one, they suck, literally !!!
