hey guys I had a question. I have a 2001 blaster with stock carb and stock reed setup. My bike has the .40 big bore kit with a fmf pipe and some bigger jetting. I was wondering how much of a differnece some of you with similar set ups saw from this. Is it worth the 400 bucks this will cost to get this stuff?? thanks got looking into my thread. also with those of you with the same set up with the same 34mm carb and v force reeds what jetting are you using and where should i order them from. thanks again im a super noobie!
P.S im thinking of switching to a toomey pipe im not sure what the diff is with a left bend pipe but someone told me to do this for more power!

OK well first off the 0.40 is just an overbore not a big bore, the big bore is known as a 240 kit a lot of people get those mistaken.
jetting really depends on where you are Temperature, Elevation, and the amount of air and gas needed for good power it also varies by your carb there is a bunch of factors
you dont really need to jet for reeds
Toomey would be a good improvement over FMF but their is still better out there like the F7

ok well im in fresno ca about 100 in the summer no humidity really. bout 60 in the winter

if you have a fmf now, dont bother spending the money on a toomey.. the only place your gonna notice a differance between the two is the dyno..

if your gonna spend themmoney on a differant pipe, get a lrd, f7,power pros, ct, heck so many names for pretty much the same pipe.. or for a good left bend, shearer, or vito's fast bastard are good pipes

and like stated there is no correct answer for jetting, each machine is a little differant..

lets say we both have 2002 blasters, with stock bore with 130 psi compression, both running boyseen power reeds both running no lid with stock style filter, both running a fmf fatty pipe, my bike here in wi may need a 280 main for summer and a300 or 310 for winter,
where yours may need a 300 for summer and 310 for winter.... each machine is differant and it will take some playing and plug reading to get it dialed in, but it will be worth it in the end my friend
