i know ther are lots of threads about this and did do lots of searching. i know u gotta grind down the top mount and that it will raise the back a few inches. is there anything else i should know about it, or about how to install it. i just wanna be sure before i buy one and find out i gotta do mods that im unable to do and i wasted money.

Thats it, the top mount just needs to be grinded skinnier to fit, about 1/16 of an inch on either side, maybe more.

what year is ur shock. im lookin at an 86 is that a good year for them

dont go any older than 86 or 85, I forget...its when they get 3 inches longer from 1 inch compared to the blaster rear, so I've been told mind you.

I could take mine off, bring it down to you and see what you think.

when i got mine i just grinded a little off the top of the shock mount so i could get it to fit and it uses a smaller bolt so i would get a longer bolt and some washers, and i didn't have to do any mods for the lower mount. and i don't know how much it raises the blasty..

I think i ground down the sides of the shock so i didn't have to mess up my pretty new black powder, it does raise the back up quite a bit, but doesn't make them look bad, you do with the 250r shock have to mount the rezzie somewhere, i'm gunna try on that piece of holy metal, but it might get in the way of the intake tube. Also with the rezzie sticking up like it is in the pic, it might be a little close with the plastic. Someone might wanna chime in on some of this maybe i'm doing it the hard way?
