ok sounds gd, so around 100 is a gd deal. what exactly gets done when you get it ported?? does anyone have a b4 and after pic of a port job?
 
there are a few pics on here just gotta look around. porting opens upsome or evens out some of the ports and sometimes adds exhaust ports and intake ports call worm holes. this along with moddifying the head for better combustion and or raising compression is where the power comes from once you can supply and remove the air with a good intake and exhaust setup.
 
ok so if i wasn't going to get the port job done this year but have plans on getting it done next year ?( when i can afford it) what would be the best varb to get for it now and for it with it ported?? hopen to only buy one carb
 
a 34mm pj or a 35mm pwk would be perfect. that 36mm you have been looking at will work just fine itll give it a little more top end performance. the larger the carb the more top end performance (until its to large and just bascially flooding the engine) and the smaller the carb the more low end torque (until its to small and just restrictive)
 
when switching to a 34mm pj, is there anything else i will have to switch to or have?? like a spacer, different reeds, airbox?? thanks
