The last time i rode the blaster it didnt make this noise and all i did was go up 1 on the main and adjusted the idle screw.+6 advance 158 main.It was colder out this time around maybe thats what caused it.I hope its not the reeds.:( Just put new ones in last march or so. clip below

the colder the weather sometimes warrants an even bigger main ,its ridiculously cold here this last week ,migth be worth trying to back the timing down and see if it improves ,take some time do some experimenting with it,looks like it runs well otherwise

Yea its running strong cant keep it in a strait line all over the place.I:I Next mode is to extend the swingarm.I knew i shouldn,t have been running it when it was that cold outside but my boy wanted to ride for a minute.Didnt run it that long. Will try it again when it warms up outside then .Also one more thing i noticed was that now after the +6 advance and 100ll fuel i dont get that knocking engine noise at idle. Thanks

It doesn't hurt them to run when it's frigid out as long as you have it jetted right. We go out riding for hours and hours when it's so cold the Eskimo's won't even go outside.
You should let it warm up good before rippin on it too.

Yea,everything i have ever had i let them warm up first. At least 4 to 5 minutes then a light easy lap then i crack into it.I:I

try and put that 155 back in and report back ,just watch the plug , i left a more detailed response to your thread on e2s.com as well ,thinking maybe you went too large on main jetting and may want to try going other direction, every bike is different and you ma yhave ot find that "sweet spot" through experimnetation the vid sounds to me like its breaking up by being too rich ,its preferance but your gearing looks short to me you might want a different slightly larger front sprocket to get the most benefit oif the torque and allow engine to pull you along better

Im running a 14 40 gearing now.I noticed the other day when i was in 5th and 6 th it didnt pull as hard.but i havent checked 5 and 6 since the advance timing and the 100ll.what about 14/38. 15 front is pretty big..Also have noticed the knocking at idle is gone thats a good +

The pic above is not that clear but you can see there is a dark black ring at the bottom over 1mm.This is with 155 main from the other day from just ridding around that track for about 5 to 8 minutes on that new plug

sounds to me like it needs to warm up more.. and not cleared out before jumpin on the throttle.. i like mine warm up for 5-10 min in the cold.. granded i dont have a 240 kit... but it sounds like the plug isnt cleared out yet.. takes my blaster about 30 seconds of riding burpin throttle to clear out weh n i cold start it.. try lettin it warm up a lil more and clear it out .

or is it all the time in low rpm??

BTW other wise that quad sounds beautiful!!!! love the sound of that pipe
