Got a quick ? for anyone who knows. Is a stock blaster jug resleeved for a 240 kit or is the jug slightly larger?Thank you to anyone who knows.

I dont own one nor have i done alot of research on 240 kits but im sure they are a new cylinder and head. or you can go down the root to bore out a stock cylinder but the performace will not be the same

you can resleeve a stock jug for a 240. or you can buy an after market cylinder. either way works. Ct i believe is the better of the group. resleeving is the same as a viots. vitos tripple exhaust port is more of a gimmick. it makes 2 hard 90 degree turns before actually doing what its supposed to....other than that its a refinished resleeved stock jug.

A stock blaster piston is 66mm. A .040 over piston is 67mm. The stock jug can be bored to .080 over but you are really thinning your wall. If you order a .020, .040. etc. most machine shops will bore your jug for about $30 to $45. Weisco makes a good piston and you can get at Vitos, Rockymountain atv & other retailers.

a 240 big bore runs a 72m piston you cant buy them from rmatv lol. for the price of the sleev kit i would do that cause its cheaper and would take the cash you saved and have it ported.

This is what wildcard wrote about it.

''There are two ways of doing a 72mm bore. One being to re-sleeve your stock cylinder with a big bore jug and have your head modified, the other being an aftermarket cylinder/head assembly. The aftermarket cylinders are capable of making more power due to a superior port layout including tripple exhaust ports, they also run cooler than the re-sleeved setups so they prove to be more reliable.''
Doesn't sound like a refinished, resleeved jug to me

Let me add a little to the quote above. The Vitos kit is superior in my opinion to a resleeved stock cylinder. But, of all of the big bore cylinder kits (not re-sleeves) available the Vitos needs the most work to extract the power and isn't quite capable of hitting the mark that some of the other kits can. Rockstar is right about the tripple exhaust in the vito's being very restricted, they need a lot of attention to perform correctly. I much prefer the LA Sleeve Niks kit over the vitos because the port layout is much better, it has a larger CR 250 style intake, comes with a forged/boost ported Wosner piston, a boyesen rad valve, an intake manifold and the rest of the required hardware that the Vito's kit includes. This is the same cylinder that CT bases their kits off of. I sell the Vito's kit for $530, it is $682 with the forged piston upgrade. The LA Sleeve kit I sell for $695...so for an extra $13 you get a far superior cylinder and a couple of the supporting mods that you'll need to purchase with the Vito's anyways. And if anyone tries to tell you that tripple exhaust isn't worth any power apparently they need to do some more research:)

the ct kits are the best of all the a/m cylinders..the vitos os basically a budget setup for a BB....i dont think that the viots kit has much of a different port layout. THE OTHERS DO. as wildcard agreed teh tripple exhaust ports on a vitos are very restrictive, and not really an optimum tripple exhaust port. the others are def a better overall setup...this goes back to "get what you pay for" for somebody wanting a BB on the cheap and easy, a sleeve is the way to go. as i was saying not much different from the vitos, as i have seen both together.....that TEP is added. TEP are def a bonus, and im not saying they are a gimmick, but in the case of the vitos cylinder, they are just about worthless.....you want a good quality part that makes great power.......spend the money....im not doggin the vitos, lots of guys run em, they make great power with em too....to me its like the difference between a vitos BB banshee cylinder and a cub cylinder....you want good TEP's and make a ton of power, run a cub cylinder.....

thats what i was getting at.....i agree with wildcard......
