2004 Yz 125

I'm trading a blaster a bought for $400 for a yz125 and the guy is telling me that it needs new top end gaskets and won't start because a nick in the cylinder or something like that he says I'm not too worried about fixing it because I'll most likely bring it to ken O connor but what do u guys think ? Could he be right about needing new gaskets which he already has but doesn't hsve the time to fix it

From what I've been through" but I don't have enough time to fix it" usually means there is more wrong than what he thought in the first place. But for 400 bucks it could be parted out and make some moolah if it's too far gone.
