This is a pic of the pipe! I think its pretty nice it definitly has a sweet sound. not as impressive as a 2stroke but impressive none the less

1. if it has a 440 and doesnt have hd head studs stay away
2.with that snorkle comming from the air box id say it was mud bogged...
id say stay away, sorry just my 2 cents

Hondas are very reliable and the 400ex is really fun to ride, not alot of power but fun never the less. First thing I notice about that one is the rear tires look stupidly to big. Could just be because I'm on an iPod but they look like there 25 inch tires. The snorkle thing is just stupid IMO. Looks like thats just a slip on and not a full exhaust and the grab bar is actually part of the frame on those and is not removable so they have more than likely brought it back to far and bent it up so the just welded somethin else on. I'd check and make sure the frame isn't bent any. If they are saling it pretty cheap I'd buy it and put 20s on the back and put the intake back to stock.

yep, mud bogged, and prolly all the axle/swinger/wheel bearings on there last leg from that
unless thats really cheap, like around a grand, or under, i'd pass and hold out for a completely stock, adult owned bike, which that apparently isnt one of
i'd bet money that was modded, and abused, by a teenager for the last few years

Well if it has bean mudded thats probably why the owner had to replace all those bearings. I spoke with the guy about all of the concerns listed and he said he has only had it in water just past the wheels one time and he had it serviced when the bearings were all replaced. He said the bearings in the carrier went bad and the shop told him he should change all the wheel bearings and swing arm bearings. I did get it off the ground and the wheels spin freely with no wobble I dont know how to check those things without taking it apart so that was the best I could do. I am tradeing a laptop (xps15) and 200.00 dollars for it on friday if the seller does not get a cash offer before then.

If he only had it in water over the wheels why put on the snorkel? no idea what that laptop is worth but sounds like a good deal
