2003 Blaster Leaking Brake Fluid Through Cable

the hose that looks like it is disconnected form somewhere is right behind the headlight and front panel it almost looks like brake fluid leaking out

lol u sure it aint the hose from the vent to the gas cap....lmao....jk im sure it aint that....checked the diagrams in ur manual if u have one and make sure that all the hoses are connected.....ull def. come across somthing undone.

my crankcase has a hose that runs up by where the gas tank overflow tube empties out
runs from the right side across to the left and follows the upper frame section to the front

yea i think you may be right its the crankcase vent hose but where does it connect too or is it supposed to be not connected to anything also why is it leaking like fresh oil or some kind of fluid i thought it was brake fluid could it be the 10w40 i put in the crankcase????? please let me know

it connects down under the carb at the side of the kick start i think mine had fell off i just stuck it back on again. my friends leaks from there to if the quad gets real warm but thats only after a hard bit of riding.

i was just reading a couple other forums and they say not to put 10w40 in the crankcase just gear oil and then there are the other forums that say you can use 10w40 whats the low down on this also wheres the plug for the crankcase so i can drain some of it out or replace it with gear oil let me know

Alot of people won't run motor oil in the crankcase because of the agents that are in the motor oil. The oil is made to lube parts but is hard on the clutch plates.
The oil drain plug is located on the underside of the engine. There is a window on the right side engine case with two lines on it. Your oil level should be between the two.

so what type of oil do you have in the crankcase of your blaster? would gear oil be the best for it?
