new to forum need a little help 2003 blaster just bought put new piston and rings in starts up great idles great put in gear crack the throttle wants to take off but go a little past 1/8 throttle boggs down but does not stall carb cleaned all stock i beleive tors top on carb all wiring for tors is there but no little black brain box for tors no brake switch i believe all this is gone it acts like it wants to take off but like something is holding it back checked exhaust not plugged does smoke a little but i think that is kinda normal for blaster or not i searched forum for anything like this to no avail no air box is on it right now comp is good any help greatly appreciated im young and trying to learn to work on this my self

what size main jet are you running? try that and if it don't work then unplug the parking brake cable. just follow the cable down and there will be a plug.
with your lid off you need to get a bigger main jet, 230 is for stock with just the lid off i would put a 250 in and give it a plug chop and see what its reading. and if you have a 2003 (hydro brakes) you need to cut the plug going into your carb and cross the wires together to eliminate your tors. also there is a plug under teh hood that needs the same treatment, i wrote it up a while ago.. search 2003+ tors removal and look for my post. i bet this is your problem IF you have a 2003+
have you done a leak-down test, if you dont it will prob lean out overtime. click the link at the bottom of my signature. pm if you want one
everything is stock im assuming he had a sticker on the side of boyseen but cant tell ya if it has stock reeds or not bike kicks 1 time and starts did leak test no leaks there is no brain box for tors but all wires are still plugged where they are supposed to be should i cut these even kno brain box up front is gone
