I have a problem with my 2000 Yamaha blaster. When i start it up its fine. But when i but the chocke on it revs high then it stalls. Is it suppost to do that because all my other dirtbikes and quads dont do that. Its just suppost to help it start right? :-/ Then it runs fine. I:I After a couple of hours riding it. When i turn it off i turn the carb switch from on to off and i leave it running until it dies out. Then suddenly  It was revving the highest it could be. I took the key out it was still going. Then the red switch to off and its still going so I hit the throttle and it stalled. It scared the sh*t out of me. :( Any suggestions? Thanks :D

this is a better place. when it gets revin like that it won't shut down. it should stall if you try to run it with the choke. but the revin thing is weird. you should only run the carb dry if you plan on storing it for a long time or something

The carb will hold quite a bit of gas and when it revs like that it seems like it is going for an eternity. I would think you have some kind of issue with the electrical if it continued to go with the key and off/run switch in the off position. Pretty weird actually. My cousin had this happen on an old yamaha dirtbike years ago and it wouldn't stop till he pulled the spark plug boot. It didn't continue to occur after that.
