I went to the dealer to get some more yamalube. They were out of stock so they recomended another 2 stroke oil they had. Its for oil injection and also premix. The part I didnt see last week was the part that said it was for liquid cooled engines. Is there a big difference between the air cooled and liquid cooled 2 stroke oils? The dealer didnt seem to think so.

thanks

i run pro honda hp 2 its a 100% stynetic racing oil developed for honda CR's which are liquid cooled power valve motors, super clean burn, keeps power valve/port clean, and i love it... been running it for 3 months... friend runs it in all his stuff i run it in mine ajnd the wifes, and my buddy run its in his suzuki lt250r

The guy at the suzuki shop told me that in one of his training classes that the suzuki master tech guy told them to break in all there two strokes on the honda oil, must be good stuff. Personally I run Klotz supertechniplate and love it 80% synthetic 20% castor. It smells good too! In fact I just ran out of gas in the middle of a break in and decided to come in for a little break of my own. I can tell you that stuff left my cylinder looking great after the last set of rings.
As far as air vs liquid cooling goes, I have noticed that some oils suggest that you run like 40:1 in a liquid cooled and 32:1 in an air cooled so just mix it at 32:1 and you should be safe.
I know a guy from work that runs those little bottles of 2-stroke oil you can get at the gas station for your weed whacker in his banshee and has never had a problem. I dont condone this, but it works for him.

The day I put some "Echo" 2 stroke oil in my bike is the day that I take my bike and flip it off the grand canyon! That is horrible!! Dont ever do that...I would sack up and buy the good stuff.

guy i got my blastrer from ran lawn boy 2 stroke oil in it.. when he told me that on the phone the day after i bought it i laughed and hung up on him ( called to find out what oil he ran in it)
you klots or yammy lube lovers can flame all you want on the honda oils.. but the pro honda hp2 is good sh*t!!! i found out about 3 weeks ago my blaster was running lean all winter and rode hard.. no air box lid, answer silencer, with a damn 220 jet!!! i say that it was the pro honda hp2 that kept my motor together, flame it or not, its good stuff.. try it beroe you flame it

i wanna see some real tests on oils, like run klotz 32:1 with 93 octain on a dyno, and drain the tank and carb n do the same with the honda oil, ect ect... see if the oil makes a power diffrence, i bet it does but not much
