Hi guys on my blaster the lower arm has 2 mounting points for my shocks. Is this stock? I cant get any pics up now maybe later but The shocks that are on it are bolted to the mounting points that are closest to the frame. I believe these are the stock mounting points from looking at pics. The other set of mounting points are a few inches out closer to the spindle.

I wonder if I could mount some longer shocks(i.e. 400ex fronts) on the outer mounting points without upgrading to a widening kit?

That isnt stock, maybe some past owner added them. Added for longer shocks probably so it wouldn't change the ride height. The ones hooked to the shocks are stock. I would say some aftermarket wouls probably fit there. I like that bumper with the longer pipe it looks neat, might have to steal that idea.

the past owner welded some new tabs on.I'm guessing for longer shocks but does not look practical. The spot you are on is the stock mounts.

Yes, the previous owner did that. IMO i would ditch them and get a set of untouched stock ones, and then just bolt some banshee shocks up to it.

No they did not work out. The spring hit the upper arm before the shock eye would fit into the added mounting tabs. Like someone posted earlier it was to lower the blaster with stock shocks.

I just bought some banshee shocks so I'll roll with them on there until I can afford a diamond j kit and get some better shocks.
