hello all. i just bought a 2006 blaster. its in pretty sad shape, but ive got plenty of time. i have ridden dirtbikes and raced hare scrambles, but have never done anything but been a hooligan on a quad. i built my own (very mild) street/strip honda civic. i look forward to rebuilding my first 2 stroke top end. any advice would be great! thx for allowing me to become a part of your forum....

welcome to the forum man, anything you need just ask. its great bringing a blasty back from the dead, you should have seen mine when i got it lolol all multi colored haha. just do it little by little and it will all come together.

as of now, no plastics. top end off of engine. flat tires. wiring seems to be intact, but maybe the ignition plug next to where your right calf wuld be is unplugged. idk if it is ignition. it looks rough, but i have faith. im pleased that it has disk brakes on both ends, and its possible that they might even work! it didnt come with ANY exhaust tho. i would like aftermarket for a little more grunt, since im chubby (190) and short (5'7")... thx for the welcome, and sorry im so long winded!

i'll try to post pics later today. im not so internet savvy tho, and a little compooter stoopid...

Welcome, dude! Yeah, any questions, just ask! I love a project Blaster; they're easy to work on and you get such a feeling of satisfaction when it finally kicks to life. :D

BTW, search the engine section of this forum for advice on exhausts; plenty of people have already shared their opinions, and I'm sure you'll have a better idea of what to get after some brief reading...

cool. thanks for being so hospitable everybody. i have been looking thru the forums, and trying to decide where to get all the money to soup it up!
