1ST blaster can you help me engine cuts out wont start

i just bought this 99 blaster a week ago i knew it needed work when i was looking at it the guy started it up for me and it ran but it seemed like the idle was up all the way and when he put it in gear and started moving it just dies out any one have any idea what would cause this.. not i can get it to start at all i just went through the carb today and cleaned it all out if you have and thing you can tell me that would be awsome
