so i talked my cousin into geting a 1998 blaster for 700 but it has a oil leak in a diaphram some wear and idk were its at though and it needs new back breaks cause there broke. he wants to know how much it would be to fix it? and if it is a good deal? here is the think.yamaha blaster 1998 tell me what u think?

i suck at spelling. i have been getting help for spelling for years it don't work. and he dont know were it is coming from. i asked him already but i talked to my uncle and he thinks its going from the oil injection pump. but it dont seam to be a bad deal in my mind. we are going to go out and look at it soon and i am going to look around and see where it is at. the worst it can be is having to take it off and split it and putting all new gaskets on. but its looks all stock and im going to take a compression tester with me and do a test on it before i even start it or ride it. if its low i am just going to take it off and walk away and leave. i mean he dont wanna ride it hard or anything but i bought mine for 400 but i didnt have it payed off and he let me ride it to change the oil and put a new gasket on it and it blew up on me so. but i am only paying 400 for the blaster and 300 to fix it. so thats 700 and stuff and mine will destroy his so? just wanna know if it is worth the drive and gas before i go.

Did you just buy it or are you spamming your CL for sale post on here?

i haven't bought it and i dont know what that is? but he wants a blaster and stuff and i dont know where its coming from i am thinking the gaskets bad for the oil pump. and that wont be that much for it. i dont know much about them but from the stuff i was told about it it seams like its that.

Doing a compression test on it is a smart move.

oh trust me i know. lol but i have learned and stuff from my family. and i have been riding dirt bikes and four wheelers since i was like 5. i learned on a blaster and as the years came i loved riding my aunts blaster but they should it and i loved it so much i bought myself one.

Why do people who think they are perfect at spelling always have a shot at those that cant. I bet here are many things you are not good at, and being tactful is one of them.
Lay off of those that you think you are better than.

The oil leak could be something as simple as spooge leaking at the exhaust, no big deal. Or it could be something major like a cracked case. Just look at it close. As to compression if it has less than 115 lbs, offer less money and tell them why. Check the suspension for bad ball joints/loose pivots/swing arm/axle. Make sure it shifts through all six gears and clutch works good.
Make sure it is cold when you get to look at it, you want to see how it starts cold. Also make sure you clean around plug when you do test. Remember, throttle wide open, kick till gauge stops moving, fuel off, thread-in tester.

As to spelling, we all make mistakes, but it can make it hard to follow what someone is trying to explain. Worse yet is all the gangster (not gangsta) $hit , might as well be typing Russian.
