1996 blaster wont start

i have a 1996 yamaha blaster that will not start .it has good compression, and good spark,. when i pull out the spark plug it is dry and doesnt smell like gas? any one know?

make sure your petcock aint clogged and carb is cleaned.

pull fuel line check fuel flow, make sure gas cap vent is not plugged. prime it with gas, put some down the plug hole and try see if it fires up.

Did you look at the troubleshooting sticky in the engine thread? Good info...

Keep in mind you need four things for sn engine to run air,fuel,compression,and ignition you obviously have 3 of the four.has this quad sat for quite some time?

Whats the condition inside the carb?

hey i cleaned the carb a few times and has good flow out of the tank, what should the reeds be doing

not crack or broke.

Make sure rats or anything else didnt make a nest in the pipe or air filter......If you got good fuel,compression, spark, then check reeds.

how do you know it has compression? how do you know it has spark?
