Ok my best bud has got a '95 blasty that he's selling for a good price since he just got a 660 he doesn't want his blaster anymore and I want to step up to keep up with his new beast lol the problems are it has 0 brakes, rear brake caliber I think is seized and on the last ride with the blaster the right front brake line snapped and the return spring fell off, and it needs a new clutch, Its usable for now but its super short and hard to keep from killing it lol, its using tranny oil so it probably could use new rings, it looks like hell but it runs great and defiantly haul ass but you don't need to go fast unless you can stop, it used to be raced bc of all the sponsor decals that were on the plastics so engine Mods are completely unknown the only mod is a Polaris 400 muffler that sounds like sh*t haha, anyway he's asking $300-$400 he hasn't decided yet but if you guys think its a good deal I'm gonna go ahead and buy it but I'm not going to put hardly any money into it unless it hampers the functioning of it so new rings isn't gonna happen lol. Tell me what you think, thanks in advance for the help! Btw I will post pics once I figure it out on my phone lol.

well not a bad price really. the rings arent makin it burn tranny oil im pretty sure thats a crank seal. and that silencer could possibly make it lose power. but hell for that price a part out and you could make some money

For that price ride it like an 8 mile hooker. My son only paid $100 for his, needed comeplete clutch and crank gear. Other than below 0* meltdown on the lake, which resulted in a port job, got next to nothing in it.

Thanks for the quick feedback guys, that crank seal idea could be it also I'll have to check into it if I get it, parting it out aint gonna happen though why destroy a perfectly awesome quad? In fact I was actually ripping around on it today for the hell of it, even though I didn't have brakes I didn't need them. the pipe on the otherhand does need to be repacked if that would help it? Not sure but I might just get a cheap used powercore 2 or something like that so it'll sound like a healthy 2-stroke lol, tomorrow I think I'm going to make a video on it and just walk around it showing everything while it idles. Ideas for my new project are greatly appreciated, yea yea I know I said I wasn't going to put money into it but plans seem to always change, no major engine Mods just the usual simple cheap stuff if I can get hook ups LOL

Ok so I got the price from him and he said $300, and he'll even fix the front breaks for me so that's some work I don't have to do:D I'm going to get with him sometime this next week and make the deal, I finally have a challenging project to work on lol (no more gokarts!) Any ideas on easy upgrades? Cheap too hopefully lol. Again I will post pics once I get in front of my computer, my phone won't let me post pics for some reason :-/ but oh well I guess lol

I'll get the pics up ASAP, I'm not anywhere near my computer right now lol, today I was actually riding that blaster around with a few buddys no breaks definitly will make you a better rider:D haha, how much does that porting job cost? And what HP gain will it hive me?

Don't worry immediately about a port job. The real power is in another exhaust system. Even something as simple as a used FMF fatty will wake that thing up big time.

Get a not stock exhaust, remove the airbox lid and get a jet kit for it. It still won't keep up with the 660, but it'll waken it up significantly.

That's what I was going to do, eBay sometimes has those fmf fatty and silencer combos used for under $100 but I havnt seen them lately. Today I took the packing and the baffle out of the polaris pipe that's on it and it actually sounds like a 2-stroke now lol, fmf definitely in the future, this is gonna be project broke blaster, as in I have hardly any cash to put into it8-| but this project will still move forward but ever so slowly haha

For sale section noted, I'll be looking around. Would anyone happen to know the best jet size for an fmf fatty? And would YFZ rims fit the bolt pattern on the blaster?

I'm wanting to say around 270 for the stock carb? Don't take my word for it though.
And YFZ wheels will fit if you swap the hubs out. Warrior, Raptor, and YFZ hubs swap out directly. No mods needed. Then you have a much wider selection of wheels you can run.

Also fyi to be able to post in the For Sale section you need 300 posts or 30 posts and become a supporting member. But you can also pm the seller.

Yea I knew about needing warrior hubs to fit banshee rims, I don't know much about jetting a carb on a quad but I do on go karts:D LOL anyway yea its not my blaster yet but once he fixes the breaks its sold, I also painted the plastics white today to piss him offI:I I'm such a good friend haha its better than scratched up blue with the purple showing through LOL, kinda looked like Barney with purple plastics and yellow rims haha, when I do upload the pics it I ever do:-/ ima put the pics before I painted it up then after, it looks pretty sweet;)

Get anything but a DG (from what I've seen) Looks don't matter, BBQ black does wonders (&cheap). Minor dents won't hurt, but major ones would have to be fixed. Really can't help with jetting till you have a pipe and any other mods done. Should do air filter and any air box mods all at one time so you only have to jet once at this point. Banshee, warrior, raptor, YFZ hubs are all same for rear. Same fronts will fit without anything else. I have Warrior rims flipped on front.

For that price ride it like an 8 mile hooker. My son only paid $100 for his, needed comeplete clutch and crank gear. Other than below 0* meltdown on the lake, which resulted in a port job, got next to nothing in it.

lmao your from the detroit metro area i take it.

dude buy the thing!

I've heard DG's are just priced up chrome versions of the stock pipe, fmf is what pipe I want that or pro circuit, ima also get a K&N for it & pre-filter and take the airbox cover off and get one of those screen airbox covers that I've seen a few times on here and YouTube, I only do trail riding so HP doesn't really matter to me much, as long as it'll do around 60-65mph that's at most I'll ever need, of course ill need upgrades to do that speed but its not needed until I get brakes, any suggested upgraded calipers that will bolt up to the 95's mount with no Mods needed?
