i like the look of 18 inch tires but i wana get somthin that will work good in the woods. im gona start racing and want a setup good for that too. also if i get 18in will i have to gear diffrently???

the 18s will give you a more bottom end but you will lose some top end as well. so they will work fine in the woods, you wouldnt have to re gear unless you want more top end with the 18s.
I would stick with 20" or larger, especially for woods...22".
Either way you go (larger or smaller) you can re-gear to get it pretty much back to stock feel, or whatever feel you want. That's the beauty of chain and sprockets!! Much cheaper/easier than setting up ring and pinion! (not to mention less energy loss with the chain and sprockets)

^^this man is crazy in some ways, but straight genius in others! The smaller the tire, the quicker the pickup. The bigger the tire, the higher the top speed capability. The reason people would call him crazy is running any higher than 20's in the trail... This would rob low end power, but would help contribute to ground clearance. Its all personal prefrence. I have yet to change my tires. But I have 20's now, and I'll probably stay with that because it is quite the happy medium. If ground clearance is completely a nessecity go with 20's, or 18's with full skids. Or get 22's and screw with the gearing like the crazy/genius man above mentioned. hahaha.
UGH! I hate 22". Those tires are just too big. I would run a 21" at the absolute max. 20" to me seems appropriate, but I run 18" Fast Trekkers. i have no issue with jarring or whatever it is ascosciated with small dia tires. Check my bike with sh*t Trail Pros and Good Fast Trekkers.:

i had 18s on my blaster when i got it.. hated them.. put 22s on it and like them much more, with the 18st 1-2 and useless.. with the 22s 1st is still useless!! i have yet to see what gearing i have but my 22s are just where i like it... i lost no bottom and.. and walked away from a piped and jetted blaster with 18s on it today
I switched to 18's from stock and when I did that i put a 14 tooth sprocket on to try and make up for the difference. I feel like it has too much bottom end still so now I have 20 inchers on the way and when i put them on I'll probably leave the 14 sprocket on and see what it feels like..
