I think you can get so much more out of the r6 shock ..I have alot more travel then stock. And you can throw a girl on the back of you and you won't bottom out. I know it will hold a lot more weight then a honda shock. just to mention a few things ... You still have to do some work to get on the honda spring. I think 99LRDblaster posted a video..

I figure if I put my track bike down and it's unrepairable which hopefully wont happen lol i'll have to figure something out to get it in mine
Yea see if you can get it on without welding and I bet more people will be replacing their rear spring with an r6 shock...... You can just go to ebay and buy one for $40
I ordered bushings from ken for the 400ex shock and I read all the treads on it. I also got the r6 shock off and I compared it to the stock blaster shock while it was still on. It looks about 2 inches shorter than the blaster. Looks like I'll be doing some grinding and fabbin to fit this r6 shock on. I think id rather stick to the 400. A lot Less modding. But I can't say for sure til I get all the parts in and my stock shock off and brainstorm. I'll keep every1 informed of my progress. But so far I may lean more towards the 400. It raises the ass by an inch I believe whereas the r6 shock will make my ass a low rider stiff blaster. Like I said I'll wait til I have all the parts infront of me then go from there

You can't just use the shock. You have to use the triangle pieces that are attached from the shock to the frame....I wish I could help you more but if you know someone good with fabrication you should have them look at it other wise just go the easier route.....
