I replace the pads on my rear brake a while back and haven't paid any attention to it since. It probably only has like 10 hours of ride time on the pads. I'm in the process of a full rebuild so i haven't been ridin and when i moved the blaster the yesterday i noticed the rotor looked worn. upon closer inspection the outside pad was completely gone. I have done tons of brake jobs on cars so i understand how this stuff works but thought i would ask what you guys thought would cause this. time to rebuild the caliper? don't remember the brand of pads but they weren't the cheapest ones.

is this on a moveable blaster disc/axle ??? sounds like the disc is stuck and not moving with the pad wear, or is on a non moveable banshee disc/hub ????

well didn't even know there was a such thing. my rotor does move alittle. when i bought the blaster it had a durablue on it already and i am assuming it's a blaster rotor carrier.

thats a non moveable axle/hub/rotor, so the blaster brake caliper, which is bolted tight, wont move to compensate pad wear, one or the other has to be moveable.
someone who knows more about a/m or banshee axle swaps should chime in on this, but a stock balster disc moves almost an inch side to side to allow for pad wear, that one looks stationary ???

Damn i wish my quad was here. i would pull the caliper off and check. I know it wiggle's a little bit. I'm in the process of moving and my blaster is at my new place. no internet there so i am chillin with the x today

Hey, Scot. The 04 caliper is designed to float on two pins. If you look at it they look like a bolt and a pin on the bracket with little rubber boots on them. Disassemble, clean, grease, reassemble. Anti-seize or disc brake grease is good here. (I lost a new set on pads the same way)

PM me your email address and I will send you the 03-06 supplement.
