04 blaster wont shift help

i got a 04 blaster i just rebuilt bottom end i had to get a new case due to old one got a whole by crank from piston skirt breaking now my problem is it wont shift and its stuck in gear like the shifter moves freely up and down no problem and you can push it while its in gear and clutch does work it just pulls in freely like its not catching what could cause this any help would be appreciated and i dont want a how to assemble clutch video i know who how to do that i just dont know if there is something i gotta adjust or something?

I would be double checking that the complete gear assembly is correct.

I put it back together using manual its my second blaster i rebuilt first time i ever had this problem

Is the spring on the shifter broken, the part that engages with the shift star?

Do another explanation this one is a bit confusing.

Did you put the ball bearing in between the push rods?
