ight i just got the blaster a couple days ago,i got it running rode it for a hour or 2,took my cousin for a ride well turning around i tried to go and it bogged down and didnt start back up,i had my cousin pull me to start it and it runs but i have to keep the throttle open alot it feels like im tryin to pull a car or somethin,if i take the plig out thats how its suppose to spin over but put plug back it its like a dead kick start im stummped on how to fix this plz help thanks

You're saying it's hard to kick the engine over? Have you checked the trans oil? Oil injection or pre-mix? Is there oil in the tank, left side by seat. If mixed, what oil and ratio are you using?

it runs but never checked trans oil maybe i should,it not like hard to kick but the motor wont run cuz the tenshion on the motor stops it from kickin enough, ill check the trans and make sure theres oil in it,plus by the bottom of the flywheel theres oil on the bottom took it all apart ans dont see where its comin from

even in nutral its a lil hard to kick, like i saod it was running good then just fell on its face lol damn yamaha

i got that same bike lol and i love yamaha dude always did just sayin since i had it so far worked on it 3 days rode it 2 hours lol u think the timing is off?can that cause it i read somethin sayin u cant change the timing on it

cuz like it dont even wanna start in nutral only if someone pulls me and i still gotta stay almost wide open on the trottle

first off you have two threads with same problem, not good.

Best bet is to stop trying to start it and diagnose the problem. Start by pulling the plug and tell what it looks like. Are there tiny "BBs" of aluminum? Next pull exhaust off and tell what piston skirt and crown (top) and what you can see of inside of cylinder looks like. Pics would be great.
Never did answer oil question. ?????

IF the piston is FUBARED highly suggested to do a leakdown test before tearing motor futher apart to rule out air leak as cause of failure, or to find said air leak.

????????????? So the generous people on here jumped to help you out and most of them would walk you through your diagnosis to help you fix the problem before it blew your motor and you come off like that.. not cool man.. So i guess your going to have someone else fix it while you could have figured it out yourself and gain some knowledge in the process.. As said before do a leak test and when you find a leak fix it than fix the other ones you most likely have.. good luck..

Classic case of a worn out powerband thas what keeps the tenshion even make sure to tell the shop this when you drop it off; u could fix it urself just ask them for part number B.A. eleven hundred N. Get a S.T. ring as well and soak your plig in salt water to kleen it

:D Don't give up so easily young grasshopper :D

Mechanical devices don't come much simpler than a Blaster :o I:I

We ARE trying to help diaganose the problem, but YOU have to work with us.

Still haven't answered ???? about your method of lubrication and type/brand of oil. X( Nor how the spark plug looks like.

I have a DOLLAR says you seized it. You can take it to any shop where it will cost you about $4-500, or with our help, a Clymers Repair Manual ($25) or here: http://www.blasterforum.com/general-support-17/downloadable-yamaha-blaster-manual-17325/ you can do it for less than $200. This is all dependent upon it being the piston. I:I

If you can't show respect for this forum, then your better off finding a local shop to fix it. Your not going to get much help here with that attitude.
