If the smoke ring is low down on the insulator, it could be possible to see it, but if it is way up inside like the one on the bottom pic I posted, I don't like your chance of reading it correctly.

Incandescent flashlight gobes could also interfere withe the colour hue.

The First pic you posted had a lower ring and that's were mine was When readable , Others might not be As Lucky , But When I Pulled it It was Noticeable before I used a Flashlight !

thank you i will try and also i have a stock air filter on now does it really make a big difference to go after market like a uni air filter and do you have to go up a jet size for that also

Upgrading to a Uni can make for an increase of 1 or 2 main jet sizes, it will pay to plug chop to confirm.

Any improvement on the intake will make a difference, The Uni is a good choice.
