So I purchased new pads to replace in the stock rear brake set up and they are too thick.....? The rotor doesn't have room to slide into the slot. I'm confused !!!!! Also they have a weird cut (shape) to the pad.....
Brake pads were bought off of eBay and after contacted the seller who claimed they then contacted the manufacture, the pads were defective. I knew I wasn't going crazy...case closed !
you need to open the caliper and unscrew that white worm screw in the center, thats supposed to be the self adjuster, and it needs unscrewed when new pads are installed as it MAY have self adjusted for the old worn pads
see here............
It wasn't me not knowing how to service the brakes or replace the worn pads, it was the "defective" (misshapen) pads that would have never worked correctly bc the diameter of the metal base was too large to slide into the base of the caliper. The pad material is correct but the metal was too large.....
