00 Blaster Wont Idle and Bogs at Start!

Ok, my 2000 blaster wont idle and bogs when you start riding coming out of 1st gear. You have to keep giving it gas if you arent riding and its idling or it will die. And the bogging is pretty bad you have 2 give it was 2 much gas and ride out the clutch. I have a 310 main jet, a fresh top end rebuild, airbox lid on, needle in the middle, and a pro circuit head pipe and silencer. Any suggestions how to fix this?

P.S. I'm pretty sure my idle screw is stripped it keeps tighing and wont stop. Can i get a new one of these or something?

Looks like your jetting is all off.

310 is a HUGE jet for just a piped quad with the lid still on. Unless your at sea level in below freezing temps maybe.

You will probably need a new carb if you idle screw hole is stripped. Check www.ebay.com or www.craigslist.com or www.craigshelper.com

take your airbox lid off see if it helps some.

your main might be to big you might be getting to much gas.. clean your carb out also

carb has been cleaned good, airbox lid off actually seems to make it worse. reeds look ok, they arent great but arent terrible either. and im about to get some vforces anyways.

310 main, thats rediculas.? ... How about a 250, 260.

My buddys both run 310 mains with airbox lids on. Does the main really matter at low end anyways? I thought that was the pilot jet? Maybe i need to check it? It only bogs when im in first gear taking off. It chokes down and bogs if i dont rev it ridiculously and ride the clutch out.

im gunna say its a mix of both the airscrew moveing and the main jet. the airscrew will mess ur entire lowend up and will run funky trying to let it idle. So thats no good. and the 310 main is way to big even with the lid off. id try for a 260. since the pipe seems to be ur only mod. With the smaller jet you wont overfuel like you are and that should fix the top end. But for the airscrew id try to pull it out and check the threads on the screw itself. if their f'ed up then get a new one but most likley the inside hole is stripped. theirs no good fix for that other than a new carb i beleive(not saying this is true but pretty sure their isnt a fix) so lets see how that works if you can fix those 2 problems (start with ur airscrew 1 1/2 turns out to start) then get back to us.

Ok, well my airscrew is not stripped, and no matter how i adjust it my bike still wont idle. No matter whether i have a 230 jet or a 300 or 310, it still wont idle and bogs when starting. Should i get a smaller and bigger pilot jet and try them? What is the factory size pilot jet anyways so i know what sizes to order. Thanks for any help!
