It seems crazy to me that it ran as well as it did, I don't know how the seller possibly got it sealed up or had it running well for me....I really hope that it was just good luck on my part and I'll be able to get this on and it will run well. There is a slight chance I may be able to come up...

See this is what I don't get....just common sense but the Blaster ran just fine when I bought it a little over a month ago and I had been riding it almost daily like this.....why the frig would someone throw a new piston/rings in, not even replace the gasket, and sell it without even mentioning...

So I've mentioned my problem numerous times, and another poster had mentioned a similar problem but worded it much better. In short (edited); when I start it, it runs but I have to keep on the throttle to keep it running and its revving pretty high, and when I let off it dies very fast...

Your stating you "may" need new gaskets, and asking if the head gasket and base gasket need to be torqued? Absolutely. I think it is 25 ft/lb for the head gasket but don't go by what I say.... If you have a QUALITY torque wrench you could check each bolt to see whether it is properly...

Well I don't know how big a 310 main is for the 34mm, but he has got the custom airbox lid, aftermarket filter, and the pipe....if he is planning for any significant mod in the near future it'd be a waste to get a 28-30mm carb (26 stock?).

I was having issues with the Blaster continuing to run unless I feather the throttle/revved it up after starting it....I removed the TORS after it hadn't been rode for a few days and now the idle seems pretty high. It was cold today and there was some hail so I didn't get to screw around too...
