Looks like some nice drag Blasters here. I think Don has been doing the fair races and other local 300ft tracks the last couple weeks. Hasn’t been out to the BBDR track yet. It’s his first crack at this racing thing. I will tell him about this site so he can keep us up to date.

Just finished up a drag Blaster motor. Will be running 300 and 500 ft dirt drags. The heat soak concerns me with the high compression. How are you guys placing with your drag Blasters? What cc classes do you run in?

Picked the Blaster up new in 1995 for the wife. Its a 96 model. It has an old Trinity 265cc kit on it. I set it up for dune riding. I sneak it out every now and then. Just having fun in some little dunes.

I have to tell you FLO I got lazy and did no more head or case work.

I think that was one reason they stopped making this kit. Lots of heat. I have always run her on the rich side. I've taken as much aluminum out of the transfers as I could without welding or putty. It has made a great dune machine over the last 12 years. With the piston kit only being 80 to 90...

The wrist pin to the top of the piston edge is the same as a stock Blaster piston. So you keep the stock durations. I bored mine out so this changes the durations slightly. Plus I wanted to move things around a tad.

Its a Kawi 650 jet ski piston. Got the cases together. A little more port work was needed to get the proper degrees back in. Plus a little more exhaust width. I will post some finished porting pictures when completed.

Sorry I have been busy. Got the jug bore & honed. The head has been cleaned up. Should be able to assemble it this weekend. Yes, thats a 76mm piston boys and girls.
