well I changed the air filter today. the choke kills it right away. the only thing that made it better was the seat off, it ran great. so I tried using a 220 jet thinking its running rich, and it's just as bad if not worse. I give up for today.

no mods, running 32:1, stock exhaust. when I did the top end i used a weiseco piston kit, .020 over stock.

that makes sense, but why would it not even run with the air lid on and stock jetting then? it seems like there is more to it

Alright thanks for all the help. I've been riding it a little and it hasn't been doing it again. I will definitely put fuel treatment in though, it doesn't seem to be a big problem.

Ok, thanks for the help. And i just realized I'm an idiot. I took the airbox lid cover off before i drove it. I'm guessing that could have something to do with it. I'll probably clean the carb regardless, it can't hurt.

Ok, sorry for the confusion. The gas only came out of the overflow. I was just making sure that those smaller hoses(float bowl vents) aren't broken or anything. So it looks like a carb cleaning would take care of this?

it doesn't bog down when at open throttle. Even in higher gears at slower speeds it still has some pick up. Tomorrow I'm going to take a look at it. I have the pilot air screw out 1 and a half turns. Would backing it out more lean the mixture at all? or just at idle?

Hmm ok, so it shouldn't really be anything to worry about, just the carb getting too much fuel for a little? There was a considerable amount of gas on the floor, and there wasn't a lot in the gas tank to start with.
