I like mine perfect. It is a stiffer shock but that is good for me because i weigh alot. Also, the ride height was not an issue to me. In my sig pic the rear is a a bit higher than it is now that I have my front shocks worked out. If you look at d.jackson_12's blaster he has the YFZ rear on there and his is level. It adds 3-4 inches of clearence to your bike. I love mine!
loosen the locking nut on top of the spring and then turn the bottom nut thats attached to the spring up, then tighten it up, i only have about three threads showing to the top of the spring and its alot softer
Just use a large screwdriver or punch and hit it with a hammer against the tabs of the locknout.Should loosen up enough to spin.Did you get your new shock yet.
If anyone needs an 06' pre-cut rear PM me.
I want to add the ride height thing is more of personal preference really. One of the benefits it gives is it makes the Blaster look alot more 'grown up'.
It does make the rear end of the blaster higher. BUt, if you are a heavier rider when you si on the bike it will just level back out. Also, I have got mine to be pretty level as of this point with my banshee front shocks. same with d.jackson^^^^^^.
nice ima have to pick me up some yfz rears and some nice fronts :-D ( dont know if ill go banshee ill try to find cheap works or elkas ( i know i know l on the elkas))
i am about 125# and i backed the preload all the way to the last thread and ride is now supper soft and when i am sitting on it, it is leveled out and i am only 125#. Definately worth the money.
