Hi guys.im new to the site and want to say hello.I have a 2000 yamaha blaster.mods are bored to 67.75mm stage 2 reeds with spacer.open air box,jug has been ported,dg pipe and silencer(the silencer has been gutted dont know why other than being louder.has a 250 main jet in it.Im having a problem with it.runs fine untill i some to a hill,i get about half way and the blaster falls on its face, boggs down,i try to keep it running by feathering the throddle but stalls out.i cant start it back for a few min.then after a few min it starts back but does the samething just a little further up a hill.ive had up to a 260 main jet,ive adjusted the floats in the bowl just cant figure out whats going on.only have the problem when going up a long hill.can someone help:(

Check the condition of your motor first by doing a compression and leakdown test. What did you set your float at ? Check your fual tank petcock to make sure it's clean and flowing good. Did you plug chop to check the jetting?

Yeah, sounds like it's flooding out. You might be waiting to long to down shift on the hill as the RPMs fade, so you're just soaking the plug. Do what BD7 says, he's a trustworthy fella, ;), compression test and plug chop. Next time it does it, pull that plug and see what it looks like while you're sitting there waiting to start it up again....I recommend a pair of gloves. And get that silencer either repacked or replaced. It's been a dry year and spark arrestors are important, not to mention, it will help you run better.
