That's the wavey spring washer. It's supposed to be there. It goes with the 1 disc that is different from all the rest. In the pic below, 10 is the wavey spring. 9 is the special disc. Put them in the order shown.

Is there anyway specific way of telling the difference between that plate and the rest?

The hole in the plate is bigger, because that's where the wavey washer goes. Of coarse, be sure to line up the dot on the pressure plate with the dot on the inner hub.

Thanks and do you have any idea what would be causing the quad to roll in every gear? Also not wanting to go as I stated before

Could be the cable be tight, holding the clutch off.

The capable is loose on the handle

Is it free at the engine end and can you pull the looseness to there .

Some people use WD40 to lubricate the cable and it gums them and makes them tight to run.

It's not loose at the engine

Maybe there is a sprag in the cable stopping it releasing fully, try to pull some slack out at the actuator end.
