wossner bbk piston vs vitos bbk cast piston

I just got a new vitos big bore kit. All the talk about cast pistons makes me wonder if I should just do a wossner instead. Is there any difference in performance using the stock vitos bbk piston vs wossner bbk piston? Just wondering... Thanks.

not really in performance. it is mainly piston life that is the big difference between cast and forged

There is no difference at all in performance with a forged piston. The difference comes at the very end of the useful life of the piston. When the lifespan of a cast piston ends, it usually results in a disintegration and a thousand little aluminum balls go flying everywhere. When a forged piston's life is finished, the piston gets galled to the cylinder wall and "scrapes" to a stop.

I prefer for my pistons to stay one piece...
