Last night i took the clutch basket out of the blaster and am wondering what worn friction plates look like. I have ordered new plates and a gasket and am also wondering how much to tighten each of the new springs when i put it back together. I have never done this before and am wondering if there is anything i should look out for when putting it back together. Is yamabond necessary or can i use any case sealant?

If you ordered the gasket, then you won't need any case sealant or yamabond unless you split the cases. The clutch has that reusable (in most cases) rubber gasket. Minimum friction plate thickness is 2.8 mm.

Here are the torque specs.
Clutch spring bolts - 6nm
Crankcase cover mounting screws - 10nm

It's pretty easy to replace the clutch plates compared to most other work on the bottom end. Just watch out for a little ball that goes into the shaft the clutch is mounted on. It seems not matter how hard I try, whenever I do any work on the clutch I always lose it.

Where do i get those numbers because when i pull my crank case appart i want to know the values for every single bolt in that case...

I was just curious. I should look for that ball i am not even sure if i saw one. This is the first time i have taken the time to do anything myself on this atv. I ordered all the parts it wasn't rocket science by any means to take it all apart.

Where should i look for this little ball? I have it all apart and want to make sure i didnt loose it as it seems like a common problem.
