i rode my blaster like i always did, but the next day i saw a gas spot which came out of the overflow tube. its been like that for a couple weeks. then i took the carb out, cleaned it, put it back in. but it wont start, so i push it down a hill and put it in gear, starts right up. after like 4 times going up and down the road, it cuts off and doesnt start back up again, just backfires. so i check the plug and its not wet or anything. i dont think the carb is giving any gas to the engine.

any ideas?

im kinda new to atv's so i dont kno too much

it has a wiesco piston, boysen reeds, and a pro circuit silencer with stock header

Well, it sounds like you had a misadjusted, stuck or leaking float needle to begin with. But now after you put it back together it wont run right??
First: Check that you have your airscrew adjusted properly...lightly seat the screw by turning it all of the way in, then back it out 2 full 360 degree rotations. Turning the screw in will increase the amount of fuel added to your slow speed mixture and turning it out will lean the mixture. That will be a good starting point.
How did your pilot jet look? (small jet in fron of main jet)Was it plugged??
Did you put the carb all back together the way it came apart? There should have been a brass washer under the main jet, failure to intall the washer will result in a lean condition in the mid range. Did you make sure to tighten the carb boot clamp, not tightening it will allow for an air leak also causing a lean condition. Just a couple of things to look into.

when i bought it, it never idled right, so i got a new screw from a differnt blaster, and put it on. then this dumass tried to help idle it and snaped the screw

Well thats not good...looks like you need to figgure out a way to get that screw out of that carb or, get a new carb. the air/fuel screw is very important to how it runs.

yes, but how come there is no gas going into the engine?
the screw was like that a while before any of this started happening

if the carb is OK chack the piston because the same thag happened to me and the good thang about the piston going out is you can increase the boar and get a little more hp out of the moter

maybe your pet weiner is clogged....maybe your fuel line is clogged. if your engine isnt getting gas there is only a hand full of things that it could be...either you are out of gas, the pet weiner is turned to "off" a fuel line is clogged or the carb is dirty. check all that stuff and you should have fuel.
