Is there a way to limit some of my wiring on my 2000 blaster? Since i have premix do i need the 2-3 wires going to the rear of the bike and how do i cap them off so they dont create electrical shock hazard? If there is anymore wires that i dont need please tell me.

I kept my oil injector wiring in case I ever wanted to put some LED lights on my blaster, but the tail lights I cut off and taped off. You can just cut the oil injector wires if you are not using them but make sure you tape the ends of the wires up. It might not be a bad idea to just leave your whole harness in tact in case you ever sell the bike and the person after you wants to use the wires for what they're supposed to be used for.

So just keep the wiring. And i can put an led on the back of the blaster? i thought it was used as a sensor...

You can put an LED wherever you want. Since there should always be power to the oil injector (at least that's what I can guess) I plan on using the oil injector wires I'll never use again. You also might be able to splice into the headlight wiring, if you feel good about wiring. I'm pretty sure 02 and up have a brake light switch, so I don't know if you'd be able to wire into the brake lights if it's newer than 01, unless there's a constant tail light on all the time. Then you'd be able to do it.

Thinking of all of this, an LED strip or two would be fine with the stock stator, but for anything more, I'd change the stator out for a 75 watter. You don't want to be underwatting your blaster at all.

I was going through my wiring harness tonight because it was real messy. I cut out all of the yellow/black wires. By that I mean all of the yellow wires with a black stripe. They're for the TORS system, which I'm sure you don't still have on your blasty. There is a set of ground wires that goes with the yellow black wires which are solid black, but you have to be careful you are not just hacking out needed ground wires.

Final answer is: Leave the wiring harness the way it is so you don't accidentally cut anything out you shouldn't.
