Winter riding questions?

Are there any things that I should do to the blasty before I go out riding in the snow and ice this winter? This is the first time I'm gonna take a quad out in the winter so I'm not really sure if I have to do anything to it to winterize it. Thanks guys!

you need to put a bigger jet in to compensate for the cold, dense air. i like to run some thinner oil too when its cold as hell out. also castor oil like benol and 927 can seperate in teh cold so its not a good idea to use them.

Yeah I'm just running some wal mart 2 stroke in it now. How hard is it to change the jet??

super easy, jsut take teh bowl off teh carb and its the brass looking jobbie in the middle. i belive a 6mm socket takes it out, then just put a bigger one back in. i assume its a stock jet in ther now?

Yeah it's a stock jet. Is that all I have to do than is just put a bigger jet on and thin oil?

get premix oil for a snowmobile, that'll keep it happy in the cold

Handguards are really nice to have too. What tires you running? The stockers work really good in the snow, even better if you stud them.

I've just got some maxxis ones, but I've been trying to find a cheap pair of tires to stud for the winter.
