Working on Grand sons 2001 blater. his dad bought it for him,$300, and it was wornout run down and expired within a month or so. heres a few pics of what we got done this winter.
Spray paint, he and i spend many hours with a bucket of soapy water and wet & dry 320 grit paper sanding it over and over, gunked it down and took to car wash to remove unreachable crap in tight spots. then primed it and painted about 20 minutes after primer dried. its a urethane based paint, single stage.
i just want to take it around the field once....maybe twice. he's gonna ride it for fun, and hit the mud holes when he just can't avoid them(which isn't often). LOL

Grand sons doing his share of work, either on blaster, or helping me with loading hay i sell, and putting some of what i pay him to get parts for rider. Plus, hes putting sweat equity into it, this weekend he powerballed the rims(i bought powerball), to make them shine. Need a few more passes from powerball, and they will be like new. need to get rear rotro, and rebuild kit for center axle, then its start putting mechanicals back together.
Won't be a show blaster like others i've seen here, but it will be his pride and joy because he will understand what makes it tick, and how to work on it.
