Windows live movie make vs windows movie maker?

My vista has windows movie maker, but our desktop with 7 has windows live movie maker and the lay out looks different but I really haven't used it to make a vid. I was just wondering if anyone has and if its the same, or if its a bit better program.
its probably better seeing as how its on windows 7. why would they put a program thats worse on a new operating system?
