WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ya 3/4 of that 3/4 only don't run because they got the sickness and had to rebuild :)

Most of those are due to people who fail to prepare by educating themselves. They try and do things with no idea why or how, just because everybody else does. Before you add a pipe or remove an airbox lid you need to know how to jet, before you know how to jet you need to understand air/fuel mixtures, before you can do anything to your motor you need to know how to determine what shape the engne is in. Bolting on a pipe because you are facintated by shiny objects and everybody says it will make your bike faster without knowing the basics is a recipe for disaster. Getting a bike ported requires good jetting skills as it becomes more sensitive to error. If you can't make it run right stock, your sure as hell not going to get it to run right built.

^^^ ya i thought it over after i made the comment and i was thinking of the people who are on here commenting alot, but most of them know their stuff. probably 95% of the people with 100 or less posts are complete idiots who ruin their quad because of all the reasons above

Nah, the complete idiots usually have a zillion posts beginning with "help it was running funny but I went for a ride anyways and it stopped running and now won't start" This post is usually proceeded by several days with a post that says " check out my complete rebuild" The rebuild consisted of zero mechanical service, but did include several cans of krylon and monster stickers.

heres a way to tell if someone maintains there quad answer this ? when is the last time you cleaned and oiled your air filter an whens the last time you took it riding and dont lie now if you cant take the 10 minutes to clean an air filter and then after it dries the 5 to oil it then should you own or be around a blaster people who cant do the simple things like that are the reason why blaster have a bad rep

no, blasters have a bad rep because there a 200cc air cooled 2 stroke engine utilizing ancient technology, not only with the engine, but the suspension too. combine that with a rider who thinks its super fast and decides to race banshee's, 450's, hell even 400's. that is why blasters have a bad rep

i took care of my blaster. mixed the gas 32:1 and that was a little rich, had perfect jetting, cleaned the air filter, and checked the plug a few to be sure on jetting. then the lower rod bearing went causing the piston to move and the skirts broke off. im gettin rid of mine after i rebuild it one last time.

it being a 200cc air cooled motor has nothing to do with it being reliable im talking about when you hear blasters are grenades or they blow up all the time......that is the bad rep i am talking about

didnt you find ball bearings in your spark plug take them out and keep riding?

before i found this place this was me, minus the monster stickers and krylon. I just had no clue but after some painful (on the walllet) expirience you learn to do things the right way. skipping a step will cost you 10 times what that step would have cost you the first time

Who cares if the blaster is mechanically sound or running right or good, if it looks good with some krylon and monster stickers it must be FAST...lol:D
