ok i just got an 04 blaster mad cheap. 850 bucks. runs mint. whats the point of people taking off the tors?
T.O.R.S is what it is, throttle override system. Don't know about you, but I do not want anything overriding my throttle, ya know? And, it is a common point of failure, causing so called electrical issues, bogging, mid range problems, etc, etc. So, it is strictly up to you weather or not to keep the system in tact. I am into reliability, so off it went for me. It is an easy system to delete, to say the least. You can find the TORS delete in our DIY section here on the forum.
Is it going to fail? No, not always.
Has this system failed for others? Yes, plenty.
Is it absolutely recommended to remove? No, not at all.
Is there any performance gains with deleting it? No, not at all.
Can you delete the electrical part of the system and keep the TORS head in tact on your stock carb to utilize the std idle adjustment? Yupper...
Hope this helps...
