Who Here Hunts?

out of curiosity, those who hunt specify how you hunt.

In my opinion, again, IN MY OPINION- sitting in a deer blind 50 yards away from a feeder in a nice clearing is not hunting but merely one-shot target practice.

That's all there is down here in south Texas when it comes to deer. Decide on a clearing, set up a huge feeder, and go quietly pick your nose in a deer blind 50-75 yards away until something shows up to eat hours later. I've seen some blinds 30 yards from a feeder.

Hey if you've gotta eat, then more power to you. But as a sport there's not much sport in it. Just gotta be patient and a half-decent shot. Get out of your blind and go hunt that sh*t. THEN, I'll be impressed at what's hanging on your wall.

Holy crap all there is down here is guys who buy every camo accessory possible from Academy sports, go fart around in a deer blind, and think they belong on the Outdoors Channel.

DEER...SHOT MY FIRST ONE THIS THANKSGIVING...ONE SHOT...ONE KILL

Ya same here it wasn't my first deer but it was thanksgiving, I shot it with old faithful, cva kodiak pro mag 50 cal muzzleloader. About 40 yards away one shot left a 6 inch bloodpool right where I shot it. As for what I hunt is small game, deer, soon to be bear, and any little annoying animal that annoys me in the woods j/k I am not that stupid. Now what I use I use a pse nova bow, old faithful, remington 597 .22 caliber, remington 870 mag. express. Funny story I was out hunting this year it was about 6:00 or so and all of a sudden I hear a constant crunch getting louder and louder so I hit the call and no response so I just ignore it. Then about 5 minutes later I here it again so I scan to the east because thats were the usually come in from and there he stood beautiful 8 point at least probably 5 inches past the ears. I grap my bow and by now I am getting buck fever like no other so I hang my bow up so I don't drop it and I hit my bow reset and that was the end of that he took off like a rocket to west. Then about a week later and week before gun I see him again and of coarse this is the night that I am late to getting to my stand and he is 20 yards from my stand. So by now I am so f$#^ing pissed I tolled myself I will get him during gun season and I never saw him again and no one in my family got him so either he is dead or is a very smart buck. I've got other stories but I will start another thread for that.
