I realised my blaster is kicking out quite alot of white smoke.... even more so when warm, i just had the top end of the other day and the rings wern't the best but i thought they would be okay for a while..

so im wandering.. do you think its the rings or the crank case seal? the problem with the rings was they seemed to stick to the piston but i got them free and all seemed fine..

If its thick, white smoke, than your burning crankcase oil. Somewhere, crankcase oil is being sucked out and burned. This could be bad crank seals, hole in the case, anything that would allow oil to seep through. Check crank seals first, they're the easiest to replace

Well borrowing a compression test tomorrow and will see what that reads, as for a leak down test i dont have a tester nor do i have the money for one :/ and yes i know everyone blaster owner has one haha if its just the seals do i need to split the innercasings or can i change from the outers? also i know the gear selector outer seal is leaking which is why im leaning towards it being the seals...

Do not despair, contact "Slickerthanyou" by PM and I am certain he will be able to help re a hire of a tester.

No need to split the cases to change crank seals, and the only special tool needed is a flywheel puller.

Okay, what should the compression be in PSI? i did the test today, did the test 3 times and all had same results first kick was 100 when i kept kicking it stopped at 160, starts first kick also.

Overheating of the piston crown, will make the rings stick in the grooves.

If you are sucking in oil from the crancase, you are also sucking in enough air to lean out the mixture to cause detonation.

It would be a good idea to do a leak down test to confirm the oil seal or something else is bad.

Well, still waiting for a.reply from slickerthanyou about a leak tester... I need to change the seals Amway since I know the gear selector seal is leaking

Whilst waiting replace both the crank seals, it is neither an expensive or hard job.

You will still need to perform a leak test before you run it to see if any other probs are there.
